Tempting treats raise cash for cancer

Our team took a well earned break on Friday to enjoy the results of each other’s baking talents while raising money for a very important cause.

We held a Macmillan Coffee Morning for the third year running at our head office in Maidenhead, Berkshire, with other businesses from the building joining us for a catch up over cake and caffeine.

And we were delighted to smash our fundraising total from last year too, collecting £170 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

We love an excuse to indulge our sweet tooth and Friday’s event was no exception.  Among the tempting treats on offer were Jodi’s Nanny’s secret fried chicken recipe, Irina’s salad, Adam’s apple strudel, Jayne’s cheesecake, Tristan’s double chocolate cake, Keith’s cheese scones and lemon drizzle cake, Georgia’s Rice Krispie cakes, plus amaretto cake, tray bakes and pies.

Our customer services manager Jayne shared the secret to her delicious white chocolate and berry cheesecake recipe so you can try it out at home!

Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning has been running since 1990 and raises millions every year to help people suffering from cancer live their lives as fully as they can.  For more information see macmillan.org.uk.

Designed and Manufactured in Britain

The Made in Britain campaign is a movement designed to bring together the manufacturing community in the UK, awarding companies who manufacture their products in Britain a collective mark we can use on our products and communications.

The mark proudly demonstrates La-Z-Boy’s commitment to supporting the local economy and community.

You can identify our UK manufactured products by the Made in Britain flag on the product’s photos.

We launch new ranges throughout the year, so be sure to follow us on social media and check back to keep up-to-date with our new products.
