We’ve just got back from the High Point furniture show in the USA – one of the biggest furniture trade shows in the world.
We spent a week checking out the latest products and innovation from La-Z-Boy Inc as they debuted them to customers from around the world, and also took the opportunity to take a look at other brands’ new ranges and get a feel for trends for the year ahead.
Here are some of our highlights from the event.
Duo
Duo is a new range from La-Z-Boy in the USA that combines all the benefits of a static range with the reclining technology that our brand is renowned for.
These attractive suites recline at the touch of a button, and feature totally hidden mechanisms for a streamlined look. Another unique feature is that they recline by the seat itself sliding forward, rather than the back frame tilting, which means they can be positioned flush against a wall if desired.
Urban Attitudes
The new Urban Attitudes collection is making waves in the US thanks to its modern design, bold patterns and fresh and funky use of colour. We have our eye on a number of products that we feel our UK customers would love and our designers are really excited to start working with our manufacturing team to get plans underway.
Fabulous fabrics
We viewed a huge range of new fabric styles and we’re spoilt for choice with what to bring you for 2018.
Textures will be very important next year and we’ll be introducing new fabrics inspired by quilting and matt velvet. Rich, deep colours will also be making an impact in the year ahead.
Completing your living room
As well as continuing to provide the most comfortable and highest quality chairs, sofas and suites for your living space, we will be introducing a range of coffee tables, occasional tables, cabinets and shelf units.
We were really impressed with the new range available in the USA and will be taking inspiration from this to design products for our UK and Irish customers.
