The winner of a La-Z-Boy UK competition got the VIP treatment at a Burnley FC match.
NHS worker and Burnley supporter Sean Riley was picked as the winner of the prize draw, which was open to subscribers of the Burnley FC newsletter. Sean and his wife were welcomed to Burnley’s match against Newcastle on May 4.
The pair were given tickets to the game and were seated in the exclusive La-Z-Boy Best Seats in the House area next to the pitch for a great view of all the action. The winning couple watched the game from bespoke Burnley FC-branded recliners.
As part of their prize, they welcomed the teams off the coaches and went on a pre-match tour of the stadium. They were also treated to a pre-match meal, half-time refreshments and given access to the Jimmy McIlroy suite.
At the same match, Garfield put in a guest appearance along with a limited edition La-Z-Boy recliner dedicated to the world famous feline. Supporters were able to enter competitions to celebrate La-Z-Boy’s collaboration with The Garfield Movie, which is being released in UK cinemas on May 24.
