The La-Z-Boy UK team had a fun packed evening of excitement at FriendsFest in London’s Kennington Park.
The event, organised by The Luna Cinema in partnership with Comedy Central UK, celebrates all things Friends and gives fans of the ever-popular show the chance to relive favourite moments in accurate recreations of some of the iconic sets.
This year La-Z-Boy UK was pleased to provide the two famous recliner chairs for Chandler and Joey’s apartment, which formed a focal point for thousands of selfies during the FriendsFest tour of the UK. Our Sheridan recliners took pride of place in the scene and of course are central to some of the show’s most memorable moments.
Our team made the trip from our head office in Maidenhead to take in the FriendsFest experience.
As well as Chandler and Joey’s apartment, we grabbed a host of photos in sets including the classic ‘pivot’ scene, Monica’s apartment, Central Perk and Ross’s apartment – and of course the iconic opening sequence.
“We all had an absolute ball. The attention to detail in the sets was spectacular and the many hardcore Friends fans in the team were hugely impressed,” marketing director Mark Draper said.
“Even people who weren’t as familiar with the show recognised the famous sets and had a fantastic time bringing the scenes to life.
“Some of our highlights included our trip to Central Perk and the chance to sing and play along to Smelly Cat. We’ll definitely be back next year – it’s a must for any Friends fans.”
FriendsFest will return in 2019.
