La-Z-Boy UK was proud to be the principal sponsor of the Scottish Furniture Trades Benevolent Association (SFTBA) Annual Golf Outing, which this year raised a record amount for charity.
The rain stayed away for the event at Deer Park Golf Course in Livingston, which raised £4,095 for people in Scotland, connected with the furniture industry, who through illness or misfortune may require a helping hand.
While no player won the star prize of a car for a hole in one, there were some close calls with one golfer landing 14 inches from the pin. Teams and individuals took away trophies for their achievements on the course and a grand raffle brought in bids on a host of prizes including a La-Z-Boy recliner chair.
Daryl Drylie from the Kaymed Beds team commented: “We were extremely lucky with the weather and the sun shone for us too.
“Although luck wasn’t on our side and we won no prizes we had a great day with fun, laughs and good food.
“The golf day is one of the SFTBA’s premier fund-raising events in the calendar and I would just like to say a huge ‘thank you’ on behalf of all of our SFRA members and retired members who continue to benefit from your substantial support and sponsorship. Long may it continue!”
